Morning practice is centered around Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in primarily Mysore-style self-practice with individual guidance, so you learn how to build a sustainable practice you can take home. On the last morning we will have a led class.
Afternoon sessions are workshop-style and designed to support your personal practice: vinyasa and transitions (jump-through/jump-back foundations), plus playful drills for handstands and other inversions, backbends and acroyoga. We’ll also exchange about Blue Zone lifestyle and nutrition — grounded in a scientific perspective — and explore simple, practical ways to integrate them into everyday life.
Classes will be held in English and German. The schedule includes two free afternoons — we’ll decide together what we feel like exploring, with a few local hidden gems to choose from. There will also be plenty of free time to relax on the sea-view terrace, meet new friends, or simply unwind at the beach (about a 15-minute walk).
We recommend that you fully commit to the programme and its effects, which also means giving up or at least limiting smoking and alcohol. The ‘clearer’ you are during the programme, the more you will get out of it personally, physically and mentally.
You take a whole week just for yourself and invest time in the most valuable thing you have: YOURSELF! Enjoy the ‘dolce far niente’, take time to switch off, reflect, rest, relax and let go. Embark on the experiment and switch off – yes, maybe even your smartphone or tablet and take a good book with you instead.
We would also like to point out again that the sequence and content during the retreat can be adapted to the wishes, needs and possibilities of the group and can differ from the outlined program. We therefore ask for your understanding and flexibility.
Resting times during a retreat are between 22:00-7:00 to give all participants the opportunity for sufficient sleep & rest. We kindly ask you to respect this.
We are equipped with guest yoga mats, blocks, belts, blankets and meditation cushions. Bring something to write for reflection, journaling and exercises (pad or notebook and pen). It’s handy to carry enough cash as the nearest ATM is about 10 minutes away by car.
Packing list:
Rooms are assigned depending on availability and the formation of the group. There are 3 double rooms with private bathroom and outside seating area and one superior room with two double rooms, a bathroom, entrance room and private balcony with sea view. All rooms can also be booked for single use.
The rooms can be booked for single occupancy. Please let us know your preference when booking. If you are traveling alone but would like to share your room, we will try to find you a room mate of the same gender (subject to availability).
Breakfast/brunch: vegetarian (vegan on request) with muesli, porridge, homemade bread, cakes, jams and spreads as well as seasonal fruit, local cheese and honey, butter, tea, coffee, served after the morning session.
Dinner: vegetarian, Italian-Sardinian and international kitchen with vegetables, salads, soups and tea (vegan on request).
Please let us know of any special diets or intolerances before you book so that we can ensure that the kitchen can accommodate your requirements.
Tea and fruit/biscuits are available on request before the afternoon session.
Our tab water is drinkable (don’t forget to bring a drinking bottle).
The public bus lines are irregular and the journeys are long, so you will need a vehicle (car or scooter) to get around. We are located in a rural area with no infrastructure within walking distance.
The capital Cagliari and the holiday town Villasimius are both around 30 minutes by car. There are many wonderful beaches along the coastal road to the east.
We organize a group excursion as part of our retreats.
Our ‘house beach’ can be reached in less than 15 minutes by foot and is grat for a refreshing swim in between.
From our house, a 30-minute walk through the macchia will take you to Baia Azzurra bay. The beach is beautiful, with rocky and sandy coves and a wooden walkway.
You can read more about this on our website on the LOCATION & ARRIVAL page.
Car hire: We recommend hiring a car or scooter for the duration of your stay, as this gives you more independence and allows you to visit the beautiful beaches and excursion destinations in the area (e.g. sunnycars.de, billiger-mietwagen.de or booking.com). We are happy to connect retreat participants together to share a hire car.
If there are not enough rental cars available in the group, we organize a taxi service for our excursions.
Transfer: If you are not traveling by car, we can help you book a transfer from Cagliari (airport or city centre) to us. Depending on the number of passengers and the season, this costs from € 40 per journey (as present). Please let us know the time and place of pick-up in advance.
Extension day(s): You can extend your stay with us depending on availability. If we are already full, we will be happy to recommend someone from our partner network.
