class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>We are located in Salmagi, part of the municipality of Quartu Sant&#8217;Elena, in a wonderfully quiet green area with excellent transport links, in the south of the island between the capital Cagliari and Villasimius.<\/p><p>The villa is located on the SP17 coastal road towards Torre delle Stelle, Solanas and Villasimius.<\/p><p>It also offers excellent connections to Poetto, Cagliari, Nora and Chia (west, SS554) and to Costa Rei, Muravera and Arbatax (east, SS125 and SS125var) via the nearby motorway junction.<\/p><p>The Sette Fratelli Regional Nature Park offers many beautiful hiking and cycling routes in unspoilt countryside.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ddb2c2c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ddb2c2c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div Restaurants and supermarkets are not within walking distance of the villa. The best way to explore the full beauty and diversity of the island is to be mobile (car or scooter).  <\/p><p>There are two bus lines that stop nearby and head towards Quartu Sant&#8217;Elena, Cagliari or Villasimius. There are also intercity bus routes and trains that are suitable for longer journeys, for example from Cagliari to Alghero, Olbia, Golfo Aranci or Santa Teresa di Gallura. It is worth exploring them, e.g.: Mari Pintau (8 min), Kal&#8217;e Moru (10 min), Torre delle Stelle (15 min) and Porto Sa Ruxi (25 min), Spiaggia di Porto Giunco (30 min) and Punta Molentis (35 min) near Villasimius. Costa Rei, with its 10 km long white sandy beach, can also be reached in just 35 minutes.  <\/p><p>In addition to windsurfing and kitesurfing, there are spots for surfing. Sailing is possible all year round. You can also find rentals for canoes, stand-up paddleboards and dinghies. The warm summer evenings invite you to enjoy an aperitif on the beach.<\/p><p>The months of April to June and September to November are ideal for active travellers, as temperatures are much more moderate than in summer (between 20 and 30 degrees) with little rainfall \u2013 perfect for hiking, climbing, cycling or excursions.<\/p><p>The winter months are more varied in terms of weather. While some days are sunny and warm at 20 degrees, you can also expect rain and storms. The south of the island is generally a bit warmer than the north. Most holiday resorts are deserted, and restaurants and shops are closed. The island is lush and green, everything is growing and blooming, and there is a sense of calm in the air.    <\/p><p>The sea is warm enough for swimming from May to November. These are places where an unusual amount of people reach an age of over 100 years. It is also astonishing that in Sardinia most &nbsp;of the \u00bbCentinarios\u00ab (centenarians) are men which is rather extraordinary as women generally have a higher life expectancy. &nbsp;But why do people live so long here?&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>American scientist and adventurer Dan Buettner discovered 5 places in the world, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluezones.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">the so-called \u00bbBlue Zones\u00ab,<\/a> where people live longer and are healthier than elsewhere: These are Okinawa (Japan), Sardinia (Italia), Nicoya (Costa Rica), Ikaria (Greece) and Loma Linda (California).<\/p>\n<p>His studies found that people in these places have 9 lifestyle habits that Buettner\u2019s research found account for the unusual longevity. These include constant natural movement, a sense of purpose in life, downshifting &amp; relaxing, eating to maximum 80% capacity, consuming mainly plant-based &amp; natural foods, moderate drinking (e.g. Cannonau, preferably in company), community and a spiritual practice, living in a family environment and strong social contacts.
